Wylie Holcomb

Wylie Lewis Holcomb, 55, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009, at Aspen Ridge Care Centre.A private family service will be held at a later date. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements.Mr. Holcomb was born on December 15, 1954, in Chicago, IL, the son of Lewis Hervey and Harriet Jane (Gilbert) Holcomb.Wylie was a 20 year resident at Hickory Point Terrace Group Home, receiving wonderful care and training which enabled him to go to school and work at Macon Resources, and also to participate in Special Olympics. Additional appreciation to the staff at Davita Macon Dialysis, Aspen Ridge Care Centre, and DMH Hospice. Special appreciation for years of dedicated love and care to Regina Niemann and Tori Kelm at Hickory Point Terrace, and Dr. Atluri.Wylie is survived by his cousin and guardian Gilbert (Virginia) Maines; second cousins Rexlyn (Jay) Nicole, Murphy (Rodney) Vorndam, James (Sue) Maines, and Heather (Joseph) Smith.
