Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, November 22, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, November 21, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Humane Society.Mrs. Sapp was born in Decatur, Illinois, on May 8, 1931, a daughter of Charles G. Doby and Wilma Ellis Wyant. She was a former employee of both the Decatur Y.W.C.A. and the Decatur Athletic Club. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School, and was a member of the Stephen Decatur H.S. 49ers club. She was a lifetime member of the Roach School P.T.A. She also was a past member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, and had recently attended 1st Church of the Nazarene.Joanie married Donald W. Sapp on January 12, 1951, in Decatur, Illinois. He survives. She is also survived by 3 sons: David Sapp and wife Karyn, of Warrensburg, Illinois; Robert Sapp and wife Janet, of Maroa, Illinois, and Steven Sapp, of Milmine, Illinois; one daughter: Donna Keathley and husband Larry, of Oreana, Illinois; one brother: David Wyant and wife Jan, of Caseyville, Illinois; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Billy Wyant. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Heartland Manor Care Center, Fresinius Dialysis Center, DMH Dialysis Department and the staff at 4100 for the loving care given to "Joanie" also Dr.Kahn, Dr.Weber, Dr.Dawood and Dr.Minnaganti for all the skilled care given during her illnesses. "
