Wilma "Ginger" N. Gisinger, 87, of Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away 9:21 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, Cerro Gordo, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 4, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL. Burial will be in Croninger Cemetery, Cisco, IL. Memorials may be made to Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church or Friendship Hill Retirement Center. Ginger was born September 27, 1927, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of James and Marie (Farnsworth) Spurlock. She married Lorin A. Gisinger on February 23, 1947 in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death in 1994. Ginger worked for 25 years as the Office Manager at Shackleford Clinic. She organized and was the first president of the Cerro Gordo Jr. Women's Club. Ginger was also a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women of Cerro Gordo, Cerro Gordo Women's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and Rebekkah Lodge. She is survived by her son Jack (wife: Martha Winsche) Gisinger of Holland, MI; daughter Kay (husband: Craig) Pierson of Bowling Green, OH; grandchildren Ann Gisinger (husband: Peter) Chang of Brookline, MA, Steven (wife: Kathleen) Gisinger of Portsmouth, VA, Lorin Pierson of Indianapolis, IN, Philip Pierson of Bowling Green, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lorin, and one brother. "
