William “Buck” Turner, 93, of Niantic, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Vonderleith Living Center, Mt. Pulaski.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, November 24 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.Buck was born April 3, 1924, in Cisco, IL, the son of John Adrian and Ethel (Jarbo) Turner. He married Helen Fern Lake on December 9, 1944 and they were married for 62 years. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2007. Family was very important to Buck and he loved being around his family. He was a farmer and worked at Borden Chemical, retiring after many years. Buck enjoyed fishing and camping and was an avid watcher of Fox News. He was a member of Kedron Masonic Lodge #340 AF & AM in Mt. Auburn, IL.He is survived by his son William “Pat” A. Turner of Pleasant Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Patty Struck of Armington, IL, Tiffany (Jody) Scott of Clinton, IL; great-grandchildren Holly (Cory) McGinnis, Job (Ashley) Brightwell, Kenneth (Autumn) Scrimager, Tamzin Scott, Jessica Scott; great-great grandchildren Peyton, Karsen, Cale, Liam, Evan; and very close friends Pattie Cyrulik and Jeremy Molette.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Michael, daughter Mary, and son-in-law Roger.
