William Charles Soran, 62, of Normal, IL, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL.Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or Relay for Life.William was born December 2, 1955 in Decatur, IL, the son of Bill and Alice (Davis) Soran. William was a graduate of Cerro Gordo High School and Eastern Illinois University. He was employed as a case worker for Catholic Social Services in the Quad cities. He is survived by his special friend Deb Kane of Normal, IL; niece Kim Roberts of Eureka, CA; nephew Zach Roberts of Green Valley, IL; niece Katy (Cory) Atchison of Cerro Gordo, IL; brother-in-law Dave Roberts of Green Valley, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Becky Roberts.His heart was full of great love for his family and friends, especially time spent with his nieces and nephew. His strong faith and love for life helped him overcome many obstacles. "
