Nash, Jr., 77, of Decatur, passed away at 9:11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound, IL.Memorials may be made to Growing Strong or to the charity of your choice.Bill was born on March 9, 1931, in Decatur, the son of William Arthur Nash, Sr. and Dorothy (Goodpasture) Nash. He married Nina Froedge on August 3, 1951, in Decatur. Bill previously worked as a millwright at Wagner Casting Company.Surviving are his wife of 56 years Nina of Decatur, IL; children Cathy Garrett and husband Fred of Reno, NV; William Allan Nash and wife Paula of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren Gary Garrett and wife Courtney, Laura Johnson and husband Jeremiah, Kimberly Garrett, William Billy Nash, Rachael Rhoades and husband Josiah; four great grandchildren; sisters Irene Brownlee of Decatur, IL; Anneta Aubert of Decatur, IL; Carol Mason and husband Paul of Peoria, IL; Doris Knight of Sarasota, FL; Janet Bonds and husband Richard of Pace, FL; brothers Jim Nash and wife Janet of Decatur, IL; Allan Nash and wife Carolyn of Decatur, IL; special sisters-in-law Wanda Freese and Earlene Chapman, and his Shih Tzu Daisy.Bill was preceded in death by his parents, son Gregory Phillip Nash, one brother, and 5 sisters.Bill was deeply loved by his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and brother. Bill was a kind gentle man loved by all.
