William "Bill" Mosser, 85, of Decatur, IL, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Imboden Creek Living Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 28, 2013, at Riverside Baptist Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church. Bill was born August 1, 1927 in Decatur, IL, the son of Elmer Gordon and Anna Belle (Day) Mosser. He married Billie R. Oglesby on July 26, 1947 in Clinton, IL. She preceded him in death on July 5, 2007. Bill was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He worked as a postal clerk, retiring in 1985, and previously worked as a mail clerk with the Railroad, usually serving with the Wabash railroad. Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching baseball, gardening and working on his house. He was a leader with his wife Billie for AWANA, was a basketball coach with his church, and participated with scouting as an assistant. Bill served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He is survived by his son David A. Mosser of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Phillip A. and Curtis D. Mosser, both of Decatur, IL; great grandchildren Lane A., Bailey N. and Ares C. Mosser, all of Decatur, IL; brother Harley Pete Mosser (Donna) of Decatur, IL; sister Mary Dodson (Jim) of Wheaton, IL; sister-in-law Mrs. George (Ginny) Mosser of Decatur, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Billie, brothers George Mosser and Elmer Mosser, Jr, and sister Bonnie Vest. "
