Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 4-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL, with Military Rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.Memorials may be made to Prairie Avenue Christian Church.Bill was born May 9, 1928, in Decatur, IL, the son of Blish and Anita (Johnson) Moore. He married Betty Dappert on June 20, 1948 in Decatur, IL.Bill was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church where he was an Elder and Sunday School teacher for the Sunshine Class. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and served during the Korean War. Bill previously worked for Huston-Patterson, Bardings Park City where he received accommodation for saving a boys life, Citizens National Bank of Decatur, and Peoples Bank of Macon where he served as a loan officer.Bill was an Eagle Scout and volunteered at Boy Scout camps, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a resident of Primrose Retirement Community for the past two years.Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Betty of Decatur; son Michael (Cindy) Moore of Riverton, IL; and grandchildren Austin, Dalton and Mackenzie.Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack Moore, and grandson Tyler Moore. "
