William Minton

William L. Minton, 64, of Blue Mound passed away November 8, 2020 at his home. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family. William was born July 5, 1956 in Decatur, the son of Carl and Nina (Taylor) Minton. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He married Loreen Bridgman on February 5, 1993. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2018. William worked for over 20 years as a machinist at Mueller Co. in Decatur. He loved researching military history and studying the military of foreign countries. He also enjoyed building model airplanes and ships. But, William most loved time spent with his granddaughter. He was member of the United Steel Workers. He is survived by his father, Carl Minton; daughter, Brandee McIntyre of Macon; son, Bobby Joe Bridgman of Atlanta, GA; special granddaughter, Kaylee McIntyre; and brothers, Chuck Minton of Decatur and John Minton of Georgia. William was preceded in death by his mother and wife, Loreen Minton. "
