William R. Jarrett, 79, of Decatur, IL, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at his residence.Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 21, at Boiling Springs Church of God with Pastor Marc Phillips officiating. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family. Memorials may be given to the family.William was born June 4, 1938 in Springfield, IL, the son of James Albert and Gertrude M. (Clemmons) Jarrett. He married Lorene M. Peyton on November 2, 1961 in Indiana. William was owner/operator of his own truck and a member of Teamsters. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.He is survived by his daughters Connie Williams of Decatur and Sheila (Donald) Warren of Keystone Heights, FL; one son; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sisters Marilyn and B.J.; brothers Jake, Johnny, Bob, Donnie, and Little Bill.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorene, daughter Lisa, granddaughter Amber, brother Jim, sister Katie.
