Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard and U.S. Army Funeral Honors Detail.Memorials may be made to Northwest Christian Church.Bill was born December 18, 1921, in Zalma, MO, the son of Hayden and Annie (Myers) Holt. He married Louise Elliott on January 7, 1972.Bill was a member of Northwest Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. Bill retired from his masonry business in 1985. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling with friends; camping and looking for coins with his metal detector.Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Louise of Decatur; sons Ed Holt and wife Sharon, Kevin Holt, Bruce Holt; daughters Melinda Cuttill and husband Rodney, and Linda Ossowski, all of Decatur.Bill was preceded in death by his son Christopher, parents, sister Lucy Carter and brother Lorance Holt.The family wishes to thank the staff at McKinley Court and to Dr. Totel for their care.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
