Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M., Monday, January 4, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131 or Scovill Childrens Museum in Decatur, IL.Bill was born November 7, 1942, in Urbana, IL, the son of Leonard P. and Mabel (Heitz) Hinton. He married Nancy (White) Fair and she preceded him in death on June 2, 2009. He later married Linda L. Boehm on August 15, 1981 in Decatur, IL and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2007.Bill was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He served as Vice President for Van Horn Seed Company, working there for 43 years before retiring. Bill loved working with computers and gadgets. He was a member of the Cerro Gordo Jaycees and served on the Village Board of Cerro Gordo.He is survived by his children Brian W. Hinton and wife Heather of Mattoon, IL, Tracey I. Hinton of Sullivan, IL, Rick Jones and wife Betsy of Token Creek, WI, Holley L. Baumann and husband Ken of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren Trevor Smiley, Shelbi Hinton, Abbi Hinton, Benjamin Hinton, Michael Jones, Connor Jones; brother James Hinton and wife Paula of Cherokee Village, AR; and best friend, his dog Sterling.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, and former spouse Nancy.
