William Campbell

Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Thursday, September 17, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, September 16, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Childrens Miracle Network.Mr. Campbell was born August 26, 1959, in Champaign, the son of Wilbur Roy and Rita Pauline (Martin) Campbell. He married Janet Aileen Kelley May 1, 1993, in Champaign. Mr. Campbell worked at Bodine Electric for 15 years, and then worked as an inventory clerk at Carle Hospital in Urbana. He attended Grace United Methodist Church, and was an avid sports fan, especially the Illini and St. Louis Cardinals. Mr. Campbell was a member of the 1977 State Championship football team from Mahomet-Seymour High School. He received the first ever Bulldog Spirit Award.He is survived by his wife Janet of Decatur; children: Kellisa Lyn (Humphreys) Fiala and husband Mark Aaron of St. Louis, MO and Brett W. Campbell of Decatur; mother Mrs. Rita P. Campbell of Seymour; sister Stephanie Dean and husband Buck of Mahomet; sister Kathy Jo Rohn and husband Andy of Champaign; sister Denise Connour and husband Karl of Champaign; brother Marty Campbell and wife Denise of Spring Hill, FL; sister Christie Campbell-Hall and husband John of Bondville; 12 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews; one uncle and two aunts. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Paula Thompson. "
