CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEWayne N. Roles, 86, of Decatur, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 30, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Make a Wish Foundation or they ask that everyone passes on an act of kindness to another. Mr. Roles was born April 8, 1922, in Tuscola, the son of Samuel Newton and Julia Elizabeth (Cummings) Roles. He married Bonnie Shirley Barker July 24, 1948, in Decatur. Mr. Roles proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a transportation specialist for 34 years before retiring from civil service. Mr. Roles was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the V.F.W., and he volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He also enjoyed bowling.He is survived by his wife Shirley of Decatur; sister Leora Matthews of California; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
