Wayne Hastings

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation two hours prior to services, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Star of Hope Mausoleum, Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene.Wayne was born June 3, 1924, in Moweaqua, IL, the son of Clifford and Rachel (Coulter) Hastings. He married Mary J. Roderick on September 23, 1945, in Decatur, IL.Wayne farmed all of his life in the Oreana area. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He was very active in church work throughout his life. Wayne was also a member of the Macon County Farm Bureau.Surviving are his children Linda Volle and husband Steven of Oreana, IL, and Steven Hastings and wife Dawn of Gilbert, AZ. Also surviving are his four grandchildren Brian Volle and wife Tessa of Oreana, IL, Andrea Woodruff and husband Scott of Oreana, IL, Ryan Christopher Hastings of Gilbert, AZ, Allison Smith and husband Mike of Queen Creek, AZ; and five great-grandchildren.Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and brother Lyle Hastings.
