Wayne H. Bohlen, 94, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 6:10am on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be Monday, July 22 at 11:00AM at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur with visitation one hour before. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church Foundation Fund, Decatur, IL. Wayne was born on April 14, 1919 in the Moweaqua country home of his parents, Nellie F. (Sanner) and Martin P. Bohlen. He graduated from Moweaqua grade and high schools and attained his B.S. and M.S. from the University of Illinois where he was a member of the University Football Band, the president of the Agricultural Education Club and president of the Agricultural Council. Wayne taught vocational agricultural in Pimento, IN, Lexington, IL and Mt. Zion, IL. He worked for the University of Illinois Extension Service and was head field man of Lincoln Farm Business-Farm Management Service. He retired in 1981 from First Trust and Savings Bank, Taylorville, IL, where he served as Farm Manager and Vice President and Trust Officer. Wayne was president of the Taylorville Lions Club, president of the Christian County Realtors and president of the Mosquito Mutual Insurance Company. Wayne is a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Band and in the 79th Infantry Division of the European Theater. Wayne was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and of the M & M Sunday School Class there. Wayne married June Winter in 1942. She passed away in 1971. Wayne married Mildred Robinson in March of 1975. She survives along with Wayne's son, James W. Bohlen (wife, Sue) of Texas and California, daughter, Patricia (husband, Chuck) Fellman of Springfield, IL and step-daughter, Donna (husband, Tom) Swartz of Decatur; grandchildren, Kermit Bohlen, Lora (husband, Ray) Moy, Julie Fellman, Chelsea (husband, Jake) Renfro, and Brad (wife, Jennifer) Swartz. He also leaves great-grandchildren Adeline, Charlotte, and Oliver Moy; Bailey, Kaylynn and Arthur Renfro; and Bianca Swartz. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, and brothers Orlando and James Albert. "
