Wanda Mickelson, 92, of Springfield, died 2:30 AM, November 2, 2008 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL. Private graveside services will be conducted at Fairlawn Cemetery . Memorials have been suggested to St. Josephs Home, 2600 S. 6th St. Rd, Springfield, IL 62703; Tatman Village Retirement Home, Monticello, IL 61856; and Memorial Home Services Hospice, 720 N. Bond St., Springfield, IL 62702.Wanda was born July 30, 1916 in Hubertus, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Jenny Naylor Munnagle. On October 30, 1937 she married Jack Robert Mickelson. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1985. Wanda lived in Decatur for 47 years and for 18 years in Monticello at Tatman Village and for 2 years in Sherman, IL at Villa Health Care West and one year at St. Joseph Home, Springfield. Wanda was a member of St. James and St. Patricks Catholic Church in Decatur, and St. Philomenas Catholic Church in Monticello. She enjoyed camping, golfing, and family gatherings. Wanda was a homemaker, volunteer, and a caregiver.Wanda was survived by one son, Michael (Kristine), two daughters Jean (James) Rowe and Sandra (Wm Richard) Mochel; four grandchildren, Jodi (Daniel) Fleck, John Mochel, Amy (John Hovey) Shafer, Jennifer (John) Teimeyer; six great-grandchildren, Brandon and Briana Mochel, Morgan and Mason Fleck, Amber and Kylie Teimeyer; four sisters-in-law, Mary Munnagle, Lois Gorton, Patricia Mickelson, Vi Mickelson and nineteen nieces and nephews.Wanda was preceded by both parents, husband, one brother, one sister, four sisters- in-law, four brothers-in-law, and two nephews.Condolences may be left for the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
