Wanda J. Carter, 61, of Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in her residence.Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, April 24, at Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home with visitation from 6-8 pm Monday, April 23, at the funeral home in Cerro Gordo. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Central Illinois Food Bank.Wanda was born January 2, 1957 in Danville, IL, daughter of John Kenneth and Leona Marilyn (Wheeler) Sherman. She married Leslie C. Carter October 6, 1982, in Cerro Gordo.Wanda enjoyed working puzzle books and crafts.Wanda is survived by husband of 35 years, Leslie of Cerro Gordo; son: Christopher C. Carter and wife Sara J. of Cerro Gordo; grandsons: Russ and Noah; sister: Kathy Bingham and husband Dave of Mt. Zion; brother: John L. Sherman of Arcola; and nephews: Zach and Zander Bingham. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patty. "
