Walter Harold “Wally” Rotz, 72, of Forsyth, IL, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Hickory Point Christian Village. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 18, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur. Burial will be at Harristown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to CML, Leukemia Foundation or Lewy Body Dementia. Wally was born September 9, 1948, in Decatur, son of Harold Robert and Ruth (Kaizer) Rotz. He married Linda Suzanne Ouellette on June 26, 1980 in Auburn, Maine. Wally was a self employed CPA for over 40 years and in later years he merged with Robustelli and Soucy, retiring in 2010. In 2012, Wally and his family moved to Decatur, and in 2015 became members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Prior to moving to Decatur, Wally lived in Auburn, Maine where he was a member of Sixth Street Congregational Church where he served as deacon and treasurer, and was very active in the Masonic Lodge #105 where he was a 32nd degree Mason and past master. Wally is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda of Forsyth; son, Robert Rotz of Plainfield, IN and daughter, Andrea L. Rotz of Nathrop, CO. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Wubben and husband Bob of Carlinville, IL and brother, John Rotz and wife Mary of Warrensburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
