W. Marie Dunker, 85, of Decatur, IL, died 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 20, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Growing Strong Sexual Assault Center or Homeward Bound Pet Shelter. Marie was born July 29, 1928 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of William J. and Hope (Morgan) Miller. She married Kenneth J. Dunker on July 8, 1949 in Decatur, IL, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Marie worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Stengel and later was co-founder of Dunker Electric Supply with her husband. She loved to travel, especially Europe and Hawaii and enjoyed summers in Northern Wisconsin. Marie was also a devoted cat lover. She is survived by her children David (Diana) Dunker of Oakley, IL, Marilyn (William) Campbell of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Lori Huddleston, Jonathan (Candice) Dunker, Matthew (Ginny) Dunker, Amanda (Nick) Swigert, Katherine (Mitchell) Miller, Terri Campbell, all of Decatur, IL; 12 great grandchildren; and special cousin Sue Green of Fairfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Kenneth. Marie's family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to Pastor Randall Garrett, Rev. John Laux, and Dr. John Newlin for their exceptional acts of caring and concern for Marie during her illness. "
