Vivian Reynolds, 95, of Decatur IL passed away on September 25, 2025.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Monday, September 29, 2025, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Service will follow immediately at 11:00 AM. Memorials in Vivian’s honor may be made to Kiwaniannes or Decatur Park District.

Vivian was born February 12, 1930, in Stonington, IL, the daughter of Leo and Cymone (Vasseur) Durand. She married Lyle E. Harmon on June 8, 1947, in Taylorville, IL. She Married M.Sgt. O.W. Caldwell on May 30, 1959, in Pana, IL. In 1991, she met Ray O. Reynolds, and they were together for 14 years before marrying on February 22, 2004, in Decatur, IL, and was by his side until his passing on October 12, 2005.

She worked as a Federal Civil Service Clerk Typist while her husband was in the service. Upon his retirement they bought a supper club in Stonington and worked at it until his death. She had been a beautician and upon Sgt. Caldwell’s death she went to Barber College in Decatur and had her own shop until 1994 before retiring.

Vivian enjoyed dancing, shopping, baking, volunteering, and traveling and spent many winters in Florida. When She wasn’t traveling, she was part of many organizations in her community, such as Gold Star Wives of America, American Legion Aug, VFW Aux, Decatur Chapter 111 of the Order of the Eastern Star, Elk Ladies, Kiwaniannes, St. Mary’s Aux, and was Past Senior Regent of Decatur Women of the Moose. Her favorite and most beloved past time in all the world was spending time with her children and grandchildren

Surviving are her sons Richard (Linda) Harmon, Jerry (Gina) Harmon; step-daughter Linda (Caldwell) Holmes; daughter-in-law Vickie Reynolds; grandchildren Rick (Tricia) Harmon, Loraine (Matt Kraft) Yates, Kimberly (Ron) Humphries, Brenda (Jeffery) Wilkins, Eric Harmon; great-grandchildren who were her three little angels, Danielle Harmon, Madi (Kyle) Wierman, Macey (Cody) Keefer; and great-great grandchildren Presley and Piper Wierman.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leo and Leroy Durand, husbands Lyle Harmon, O.W. Caldwell, and Ray Reynolds, and stepson Greg Reynolds.
