Vivian Kretsinger

Vivian E. Kretsinger, 90, of Decatur, IL passed away on March 29, 2019 at Imboden Creek Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday (04-04-2019), at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in Macon County Memorial Park; Harristown, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Vivian was born on January 10, 1929 in Oakley, IL, the daughter of Alva Otis Wagner and Ada Lucille (Moreland) Wagner. She married Clifford E. Kretsinger on October 9, 1967 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1998. Vivian was a homemaker. She liked camping, fishing, traveling, and enjoying time with her family. Vivian is survived by her three daughters; Karen (Jerry) Black, Carol (Larry) White, and Linda (Jim) Gould all of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are two step-sons; Clifford E. (Susan) Kretsinger and John (Leta) Kretsinger both of Decatur, IL and one step-daughter; Barbara Ann Francis of Florida. Vivian also leaves seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, twenty step-great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and five step-great-great-grandchildren, sisters; Lou Ann Siburt of Decatur, Jo Ann Reitzel of Montana, brothers; David (Jeanette) Wagner of Decatur, IL., Wallace (Georgia) Wagner of Louisiana, Richard Wagner of Decatur, IL., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece and nephew. Special thanks to Harbor Lights Hospice and Imboden Creek Living Center nurses and staff for the compassion during her final days.
