Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Niantic United Methodist Church, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery, Niantic, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family requests casual attire.Memorials may be made to Niantic United Methodist Church or to donors choice.Alberta was born August 9, 1927 in Illiopolis, IL. She was the daughter of Bertram M. and Florence Jeffords Batchhelder. She was a member of the Niantic United Methodist Church.Alberta married Robert W. Ball on April 11, 1946 in Niantic.Alberta is survived by her sons, Raymond and wife Juanita Ball of Decatur, IL, Lyle and wife Thelma Ball of Niantic, IL; four grandchildren, Angela Wrench and husband Joe, Amy Crabtree and husband Richard, Clinton Ball and wife Kathryn, Ryan Ball and wife Alicia; eight great-grandchildren, Kyla, Mason and Cole Cary, Erin and Allison Crabtree, Quinton and Landon Ball, Rosalie Ball; three sisters, Phyllis Hall and husband Loren of AZ, Bonnie Adams and husband Gene of AZ, Helen Saulsberry of Illiopolis, IL; and brother Tobe Batchhelder and wife Emily of Illiopolis, IL.Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-grandchild, and two brothers.Grandmas family, neighbors and friends were her joy and she ours.
