Virginia Mae Kraft, 72, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Order of Eastern Star, Macon, IL. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January17. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to Niantic United Methodist Church or Sangamon Valley Backpack Project. Virginia was born February 15, 1942, in Decatur, the daughter of Herbert W. and Mae (Reynolds) Kraft. Virginia was a member of Niantic United Methodist Church and was retired from the State of Illinois. Surviving are her children: Lisa Hackney of Las Vegas, NV and Tom (Julie) O'Laughlin of Blue Mound, IL; brothers: Wayne Kraft and Merle (Kathleen) Kraft, all of Decatur, IL; sisters-in-law: Charlotte Kraft of Decatur and LaVonne Kraft of Springfield, IL; grandchildren: Gina, Erin and Lewis (Sandra) Hackney, Breah, Trent and Jason T. O'Laughlin, Kelsey (Bobby) Blakeman Nihiser; great-grandchildren: Malik, Treyton, Gregory, and Nathan Hackney. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, children Jacqueline O'Laughlin and Greg Blakeman, brothers Dean Kraft and Jack Kraft. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and residents of the Eastern Star home in Macon, IL for their prayers, support and exceptional care of Virginia over the past 10 months.
