Virginia Louise Brumaster, 89, of Decatur, IL, died 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center, Decatur, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Virginia was born June 23, 1924, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Rocco and Mary C. (Curci) Scardello. She married Maurice H. Brumaster on May 15, 1954 and he preceded her in death. Virginia was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, a lay associate member of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis, and a member of St. Mary's Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, and Kiwanianne Club. Virginia worked as a payroll clerk for A.E. Staley for 35 years, before retiring. She is survived by her daughter Maurla A. (Joseph) King of Byron, IL; grandchildren Catherine R. Mammen of Rochelle, IL, and Jennifer S. (Roger) Skonie of Dekalb, IL; great grandson Johnathan Engh of Dekalb, IL, and sister Joanne Sea of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Maurice, two brothers and three sisters. "
