Virginia Edith Beadles, 91, of Decatur, Illinois, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 13,1918, the daughter of L. Bliler and Flora (Waeckerle) Bliler. She marrried Robert D. Beadles on November 28, 1943. Her husband, parents, sister, Fern Heisler, and brother-in-law Lou Heisler preceded her in death. She worked for Dr. Walt Winters, several retail stores, and Beadles-Austin Insurance Agency. She did volunteer work and served in many organizations during her lifetime, including, DMH Auxiliary, American Business Women's Association, charter member of Kiwaniannes Club, DOVE, RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteers Program), and First United Methodist Women's Society. She and her husband, Bob, helped to start the Merrily Marrieds Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church, where they were lifelong members. Virginia loved to work with crafts, flower gardens, play games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an avid traveler and camper. She loved family more than anything, and any kind of family gathering was a special time for her. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Austin (Bill), and Vicky Chickering (Ron); grandchildren, Brian Austin(Jill), Sherry White (Jeremy), Angie Hynds (Andy), Katy Ofenloch, Ryan Ofenloch (Tracy), and step-grandchild Tammy Session (Dave); six great-grandchildren, Zach, Brianna, and Jonathan Austin, Caleb and Chase White, and Noah Hynds, and many nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved by her family, and will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful, loving, caring mother who always had a smile for you. She was a strong Christian woman that believed in the power of prayer. We know that she is happy in heaven with the love of her life, her husband, Bob. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11 AM at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, Illinois. Her nephew, Gary Beadles, youth pastor at Central Baptist Church, will be conducting the service. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Decatur, Illinois. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, Illinois will be handling the arrangements. "
