Virginia M. Bales, 66, of Decatur, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Symphony of Decatur. Per her wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rites will be accorded. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Macon County Animal Shelter or Humane Society Decatur-Macon Co.Virginia was born March 29, 1950, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Jasper and Eileen (Wallert) Stevens. She married Thomas Walker and he preceded her in death in 1988. She later married Leroy Bales and he preceded her in death in 2015.Virginia worked at Symphony of Decatur as an LPN and she loved all animals.She is survived by her daughter: Cindy (David ) Turner of Oreana, son: Scott (Angie) Walker of Winterhaven, FL, son: Dale (Hope) Bales of Decatur, daughter: Melissa Bales of Peoria; grandchildren Dylan (Katie) Turner of Oreana, Shelby Turner of Oreana, Talenia Walker of Decatur, Joseph (Lisa) Stone of Redford, MI, David Stone, Jr. of Warren, MI; 6 additional grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
