CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEVincent Sharp, 86, of Decatur, died Thursday, December 25, 2008, at McKinley Court. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 2, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Graveside services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, with military rites.Memorials may be made to Antioch Christian Church.Mr. Sharp was born February 25, 1922, in Curran, IL, the son of Homer and Marlee (Sprague) Sharp. He married Katherine Helena Beaver May 23, 1948, in Decatur. Vincent was in the Army/Air Force during WWII serving as a mechanic that worked on airplanes. Mr. Sharp worked at Landholt Auto Body for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, and built his own home and furniture. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church.He is survived by his wife Katherine of Decatur; sons, Charles Sharp, Clifford Sharp, and Chris Sharp, all of Tijeras, NM; sister-in-law Ruby Beaver of Dawson, IL; granddaughter Jennifer Sharp of Tijeras, NM; nephews Karel, Ronald, and Robert Rhodes all of Decatur; nieces Velma K. Sharp and Pam Sharp of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Vernon Sharp, and sisters, Viola Rhodes and Virginia Sanders.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
