Viginia Durland

Virginia Lee Durland, 79, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 3:51 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2016, at Carriage Crossing of Champaign, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Knobs Cemetery, Tower Hill, IL. Memorials may be made to Knobs Baptist Church. Virginia was born October 26, 1936, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Forrest W. and Glenna (Swim) Miller. She married Donovan Dean Durland on July 16, 1956 in Corinth, MS. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2016. Virginia retired from Illinois Power Company after 40 years of service. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Surviving are her siblings: James P. Miller of Shelbyville, IL and Frostine (Mike) Thomas of Herscher, IL; nephew: Phil (Sharon) Durland of Villa Grove, IL; niece: Pamela (Rod) Clinton of Philo, IL; and several great nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and husband. "
