Verena Clement

Verena Shively Mac Pherson Clement, 97, passed away on December 19, 2018, in Merritt Island, Florida. She had lived in Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island for over 40 years. Verena was born in Decatur, Illinois, daughter of Festus and Emily (Urban) Shively. Please join us for a Celebration of Life service at 9 am, Sunday, April 28, 2019, at the Church of the Brethren, 4415 N. Water Street, Decatur, Illinois, where she was a lifetime member. Verena had a lifetime of adventures, an avid traveler, visiting over 60 countries. She was grateful for having had the opportunity to live and work in Japan, Korea, Ecuador, and Paraguay, and as an US Government Service Employee for more than 20 years. At various times, she was a purchasing agent and worked in the U.S. Embassy. She is survived by her stepson, Jym Mac Pherson of Melbourne, Florida.
