Vera Williams

Vera M. Williams, 97, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Sullivan Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Make A Wish Foundation. Vera was born October 31, 1922, in Casner, IL, daughter of John Francis and Nellie Marie (Lourash) Burcham. She married Horace H. Williams on October 31, 1980, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1996. Vera retired from Sears after 30 years of service. She loved to read and work puzzle books. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Cuttill of Sullivan, IL; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven sisters, and one brother.
