Vera Tohill

Graveside services will be 12:30 P.M., Monday, March 7, 2011, at La Place Cemetery, La Place, IL, with visitation 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon, at La Place United Methodist Church, La Place, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to DMH Hospice or Alzheimers Association.Vera was born November 17, 1916, in Bluffs, IL, the daughter of Herman and Minnie (Schuessler) Vannier. She married Dean Pat Quigley and he preceded her in death. She later married Robert D. Tohill in 1954 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death in 2003.Vera was a life long member of La Place United Methodist Church.She is survived by her daughters Shirley (Ron) Naughton of Springfield, IL, Sharon (Len) Bardfield of Aloha, OR, Sue (Don) Bivens of Decatur, IL; 8 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother Robert E. Vannier of Omaha, NE.She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Pat & Robert, brothers J.E. Jude, Harold, Dean, and Bernard, and sister Marie. "
