Velma Matheson

Born Velma Mae Bellows on July 1, 1928, in Elgin, Illinois to Percy & Lorena Bellows, she led a full life and was always the life of the party. She attended Missouri Valley College, where she met the GI of her dreams, Robert Matheson. They were married on June 18, 1948.She divided her time between taking care of family and teaching at St. Patricks School. Velma is survived by her children Tim Matheson & Nancy Neely of Bristol TN., Mark & Mary Matheson of Phoenix, AZ., Dan & Michelle Matheson of Clearlake, Iowa and Keith & Amy Seward of Huntington Beach, CA.Memorial Mass will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 18, 2009, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Decatur, IL.
