Velma Barringer

Velma Louise Barringer, 74, of Herrod, IL, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Rosiclare Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Rosiclare, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 20, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice. Velma was born March 23, 1940, the daughter of Frank and Tessie (Blankenship) Porter. She married Donald Barringer on November 1, 1958. Thelma loved camping and horseback riding. She was baptized and was a member of the Equality Church of God. She is survived by her husband Donald of Herrod, IL, daughter Marcia Spellman of Decatur, son Mark Barringer and wife Chris of Mt. Zion, son Robert Barringer and wife Judy of Decatur, daughter Barbara Rokosh and husband James of Elizabethtown, IL, son Scott Barringer of Golconda, IL, sister Evelyn Ward of Niantic, sister Ruth Ann Dean of Ohio, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill Porter, Orville and Junior Porter, and great-grandchild Austin. "
