V. Garver

V. Maxine Garver, 97, of Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away on May 30, 2018 at Heritage Manor in Mt. Zion, IL.Visitation is from 11 am to 1 pm with services at 1 pm Saturday (06-02-2018) at the Cerro Gordo Church of the Brethren.Maxine was born April 4, 1921 near Cerro Gordo, daughter of Roy and Pearl (Six) Hickman. She married Paul J. Garver on December 25, 1939. Paul precedes her in death. She leaves sons Duane and wife Jean of Oakley, IL and Gary of Pekin, IL. She leaves four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.Maxine enjoyed owning a business in Cerro Gordo for many years. She enjoyed a 28 year association with Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home and Ambulance Service in Cerro Gordo. She also enjoyed being organist for her church for nearly 50 years.The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Manor for their kindness and caring. Most special friends are Mrs. Jerri Baldridge, Mrs. Betty Sue Laird, Pastor Tim Laird, Pastor Terry Leach, Mrs. Megan Rhoades, and Mr. Mike Ritchie. "
