Trela Clark

Trela Eileen Clark, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at St. Marys Hospital.Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 2, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 1, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Moundford Free Methodist Church.Eileen was born on February 21, 1919, in Beecher City, IL, the daughter of Lawrence and Lola (DeVore) Syfert. She married Forest W. Clark on January 27, 1945, in Fredericksburg, VA.Eileen attended Moundford Free Methodist Church, was previously a member of Home Bureau, and was involved in 4-H activities. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking for family and music of all types. Her children, grandchildren and extended family were the joy of her life. Eileen was retired from the credit department at Montgomery Wards and Goldblatts.Surviving are her husband, Forest, of Decatur, IL; son Gregory Clark and wife Brenda, grandchildren Ashley and Zachary of Camby, IN, formerly of Decatur, Chad Leaming and fiancee Caroline Barrie of Gap, France.Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cheryl Leaming, grandson Brett Leaming, sisters Doretha Syfert, Velma E. Deibert, Mildred Wilson, Lucille ODell, and brother Edward Syfert. "
