Sergeant First Class Timothy James Entrot, 69, of Decatur, gained his wings on February 23, 2024.
Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield with military rites by the US Army and Sangamon County Inter-Veterans Burial Detail.
SFC Entrot retired as a Veteran of the US Army as well as the United States Postal Service. He proudly served his country for almost 20 years in the 84
th
Battalion as an engineer. SFC Entrot had many accomplishments to be very proud of. SFC Entrot was a carpenter for the White House working under many of our great Presidents.
SFC Entrot was born August 13, 1954 in Susquehanna, PA, the son of Gaylord and Helen (Smith) Entrot. He married Barbara Landon of Decatur on December 3, 1988, whom he loved dearly. SFC Entrot was a loyal soldier as well as a patient, loving father with an amazing sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barb Entrot; his daughters: Christina Entrot, Jackie (Ed) Hargis, Jessica (Vance) Castle; eight grandkids; and two great-grandchildren.
Timothy is preceded in death by his daughter, Tanya Entrot; son, Robert Entrot; brother, Tom Entrot; and parents Helen and Gaylord Entrot.
He will be dearly missed.
