Thomas Myers

Thomas Edward Myers, 51, of Dalton City, IL, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project. Thomas was born March 10, 1967, in Ft. Wayne, IN, son of Omer Stanford Posey and Wanda Marie Hampton. He married Donna L. Pratt October 2, 1993 in Decatur. Tom served his country in the Army and the Illinois National Guard for 20 years, serving a tour of duty in Iraq. He worked for Tate & Lyle for 10 years. Tom enjoyed watching forensic TV shows and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Donna; daughter, Shelby Myers; son, Harrison Myers, all of Dalton City; mother, Dianna K. Myers of Forsyth; sisters, Debbie, Cindy, Linda, Tammy, Teena, Terri, Ramona, and Elizabeth; and brother, Tim. Tom was preceded in death by his father Ted, brother Carl, and sister Trudy.
