Thomas Kingery

Thomas R. Kingery, 80, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 7:12 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. A Memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Thomas was born June 18, 1933, in Decatur, IL, the son of Harold and Rachael (Anderson) Kingery. He married Susan E. O'Dell on October 11, 1971, in Las Vegas, NV. Thomas served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired laborer with Local #159 Laborers Union. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Susan of Decatur, IL; daughters Tonya K. Bush of Decatur, IL and Barbara J. Ekis and husband Eddy Jr. of Illiopolis, IL; grandchildren Zachary and fiancee Amy, Susan, James, Emma, Zara, and Rylan; great-granddaughter Dacie; great-grandson Bentley; brother Jerry Kingery and wife Beverly of Arthur, IL; and sister Joy Ducker and husband Ken of Sullivan, IL. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert and three nephews. "
