Thomas Joseph Biggs, 79, went to his forever home Friday, June 26, 2020 with loved ones by his side after fighting a long, hard battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Masonic Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL. Tom was born December 20, 1940 to Joseph Vernal and Mary Catherine (Schneider) Biggs in Mattoon, IL. He married Cheryl (Hoewing) Linn on October 2, 2004. Tom was a member of First Christian Church, Decatur, IL. Tom graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1957 and went on to join the U.S. Army. He spent the majority of his life mastering his carpentry skills as co-owner of three cabinet shops, sole owner of Rainbow Builders and retired from J.J. Tom was a charter member of Pana Fraternal Order of the Eagles for twenty years, holding several state and local offices while raising money for a number of charities. Tom loved being creative and teaching people how to “work smarter, not harder”. He enjoyed fishing, golf, target shooting, quilting, and being creative in every way he could but his greatest joy was his family and little dog, Spencer. Tom is survived by his wife, daughters Cheri (Paul) Powers of Rensselaer, IN and Patricia Conklin of Sullivan, IL, sons Terry Biggs of Assumption, IL and David (Teresa) Biggs of Sullivan, IL, stepdaughter Amy (Alan) Dobrinick of Decatur, IL, stepsons Eric (Toni) Linn and Sean Linn of Moweaqua, IL, 12 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild, sisters Jenny Bragg and Marybeth Garner of Decatur, IL, brother Jim (Darlene) Biggs of Elburn, IL, as well as many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Hospice for all the help they gave during this trying time.
