Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 18, at Boiling Springs Church of God, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, October 17, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs Church of God. Thelma (Koontz) Catlin was born July 15, 1922, to the late Charles and Hazel (Whitten) Koontz. On February 23, 1941, she married Robert Catlin, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2006. She is survived by her son Ed and his wife Judy of Decatur, daughter Suzanne and her husband Larry Horner of West Liberty, Ohio, and grandchildren Keven Catlin of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, Kristopher Catlin and wife Dawn of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Kelly Catlin and wife Shanna of Peoria, Nathan Horner of Fort Myers, Florida, and Luke Horner of Washington, D.C. She leaves three step-grandsons; Joe Horner and wife Beth of Sarasota, Florida, James Scott of Springfield, and Tim Scott of Taylorville and eight great-grandchildren. Daughter-in-law Patricia Catlin preceded her in death. Her sisters are Emma Lou Redemius of San Dimas, California and Nina Pumphrey of Decatur. Her brothers are John Koontz of Highland Home, Alabama, Lawrence Koontz of Decatur, and Paul Koontz of College Place, Washington. Three sisters, one brother and two half-brothers preceded her in death. Thelma was an active member of Boiling Springs Church of God for sixty-eight years and a member of Macon County Home Extension. She was a 4-H leader, a seamstress, election judge, and homemaker. She worked ten years for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
