Thelma Mae (Frazee) Heiland Blackburn, 88, of Decatur, passed away May 11, 2018 at Imboden Creek Living Center surrounded by family.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 16 in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, May 15 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.In lieu of flowers, memorials in Thelma’s honor may be made to First Lutheran Church or Scovill Zoo.Thelma was born August 25, 1929 in Decatur, IL the daughter of John Frank and Ruth Mae (Ehrhart) Frazee. She married Robert Dean Heiland on June 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death April 24, 1988. She later married Benjamin Luther Blackburn. Thelma worked at Sears and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Decatur.She was a playground supervisor for years at Muffley Grade School. She made and sold Bye-Lo Dolls and volunteered at Scovill Zoo. Thelma loved playing Bridge, always put others first, and was the life of the party!Thelma is survived by her husband of 20 years, Benjamin; daughter, Kristina K. Sites (Richard Dean) of Decatur; step children LeeAnn Krigbaum (Dan) of Westminster, CO and Brian Blackburn (Amy) of Decatur; granddaughter, JoBeth Page (Zach) of Decatur; step grandchildren John Krigbaum (Taryn), Tim Krigbaum (Rachel), David Krigbaum (fiancee’- Ashlyn), Charlie and Jake Blackburn; great grandchildren, Brennan and Hudson Page; step great grandchildren, John Bradley and Leah Krigbaum; one sister, Sarah Ann Thompson of Decatur, and many special nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Heiland; brother, Joseph Frazee; and one great grandson Levi Page.The family would like to thank the staff of Imboden Creek Living Center and Imboden Gardens for the loving care given to Thelma "
