Terry Bracken

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 15, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, IL, with Pastor Wray Offermann officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL.Memorials may be directed to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 402 Strand Avenue, Missoula, MT 59801. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. He was preceded in death by his father William John (Bill) Bracken and mother Christina (Meller) Bracken. He is survived by his sister, Lana (Bracken) Bender and her husband Robert D. (Bob) Bender of Decatur, IL; brother Phillip W. Bracken and his wife Janet of St. Louis, MO; seven nieces and nephews and their spouses and children as follows: Christiana Bender and her fianc Donnie Crutchfield and their son Donnie of Decatur, IL; Rob Bender and sons Corbyn and Landyn Bender of Decatur, IL; Ryan Bender and his wife Mickenzie, and their daughter Rylan of Decatur, IL; Tyler Bracken and his wife Kristen of St. Louis, MO; Lindsey Bracken of Honolulu, HI; Brooks Bracken of St. Louis and Garrett Bracken of St. Louis. In addition he is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members in the U.S. and England. Terry was a student of the bible, the ministry of Christ, and an active member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Missoula, MT. He worked as a chef in Missoula and other cities in Montana for the past ten years. He was a former Decatur All-City Football player while at Lakeview High School, where he graduated in 1971. He also attended Kaskaskia Junior College and played baseball. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis Cardinals fan. While on earth, Terry was a loving brother and uncle, a devoted Christian, a disciple of Jesus, and enjoys Gods grace, mercy, forgiveness and peace.
