Tanya M. Childs, 34, of Decatur, died Friday, January 8, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 14, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Operation Warm Fuzzy. Tanya was born September 9, 1981, in Decatur, the daughter of Roy A. Stout and Sandra A. Kenney. She graduated from MacArthur High School with high honors and was a National Honors student. Tanya played softball while at MacArthur, and was also on the volleyball team. She graduated from Millikin with her International Business degree, and also attended ISU where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Tanya was a Registered Nurse for seven years, and received her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from SIUE. She also received her CCRN certification while employed as a nurse in the ICU at Decatur Memorial Hospital, was a member of the Nursing Honor Society Sigma Theta Tau and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Tanya enjoyed cooking, putting on parties, and board/card games. She also loved concerts, traveling, and fast cars, but nothing was more important to Tanya than family. She is survived by her mother Sandra A. Eberle and husband Don of Maroa; father Roy A. Stout of Decatur; sisters, Jen A. Stout, Lisa S. Stout, and Lany L. Stout, all of Decatur; step sisters, Amanda Eberle of Tuscola and Deidra Eberle of Chicago; paternal grandmother, Ina (Lois) Stout of Decatur; maternal grandparents, Lorraine (Nalefski) Kenney and husband Robert of Decatur; soul mate, Doug Childs of Decatur; Doug’s mother, Paula Childs of Dalton City; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tanya was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, great grandmother, and Honey and Paul McDonald. "
