Suzie Woodard, 51, of Bethany, IL, passed away at home, surrounded by her family at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 20, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery, Macon, IL. Suzie was the daughter of Raymond and Betty Bissonett, born December 1st, 1963, in Elwin, IL. Suzie graduated from Macon High School in 1981. She helped raise her nieces and worked the past 18 years at the Decatur Post Office. Suzie married the love of her life, Jeff Woodard on October 19, 1996. She was a member of Bethany Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband Jeff of Bethany; mother-in-law: Delores Woodard of Texarkana, AR; brothers: Dale (June) Bissonett of Arthur, IL, Terry (Terri) Bissonett of Dayton, OH; sister: Tina (Chuck) Davidson of Glenarm, IL; special niece: Michelle McClelland of Indianapolis, IN; many other nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved; her best friends of 35 years: Cindy Bettis and Robin Lash; and Harley, her chocolate Lab. Suzie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Brenda. Suzie touched many lives with her loving and positive attitude and was inspirational to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Suzie loved and had compassion for all animals.
