Suzanne Bourne

Suzanne (Krekel) Bourne, 69, of Decatur, IL, died 9:30 P.M., Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Heritage Manor in Mt. Zion, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with Pastors Norman Etnier, William Fisher, and Kirk Heneberry officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M., Monday, July 2, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Suzanne was born January 29, 1943, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of William F. and Nancy (Oglesby) Krekel. She married Merle Bourne, Jr. on May 14, 1968. He survives. After graduating from high school, she became employed with her father at Krekel's Custard, virtually her entire working life, with a short period of time employed as a receptionist at the Citizen's National Bank. She throughly enjoyed being an avid business owner of the family business. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake of the Ozarks. At home, she also thoroughly enjoyed her favorite t.v. shows, especially "Everybody Loves Raymond", "John Hagy Ministries", and "Wheel of Fortune". She deeply loved her many cats and dogs and was a member of A.S.P.C.A.. Suzanne was affiliated with Harvest Christian Center and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She is survived by her sons: Todd (Cindy) Teel, Sr. of Mt. Zion, IL, Troy Teel of Decatur, IL; stepson: Merle Bourne III of Atlanta, GA; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sisters: Linda Feldman and Kimberly (Brad) Patient, all of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law: Renee' Krekel; 9 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Michael Bourne, one stepdaughter: Sherri Bourne, one brother: Rick Krekel, and one great-nephew: Jordan Ray..
