Susan Lynn Lake, 64, of Niantic, IL died 11:22 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2011, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 30,2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday November 29, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Arrangements are being handled by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Susan was born November 25, 1947 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of William C. Atchison and Pauline (Hoke) Atchison. She married Kenneth L. Lake on February 4, 1977 in Decatur, IL . Susan liked to go fishing and enjoyed doing crafts. She loved spending time with her grandkids. Volunteered at Hopes Attic. She also volunteered at election time for the Democratic party. She attended Heartland Community Church. Susan was also an organ donor. She is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughters Dana Harris and husband Jeff, Julie Zimmerman and husband Scott, Kendra Taylor and husband Jason, Grandchildren, Heath, Kennedy, Sarah, Sadie, Sophie, Sidney, two brothers Terry and Bob and sister Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. G. Patel for all the years of care, and his nurse Pat. Also, to the wonderful staff and specialists at Indiana University Hospital/Liver transplant team, and D.M.H I.C.U. nurse Lydia and the hospital Chaplains. "
