Susan Kramer

Susan Marie Kramer, 80, of Decatur, IL, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, in her home.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Decatur. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.Susie was born June 11, 1937, in Indianapolis, IN, daughter of Horace Houston and Antoinette B. Jenner. She married J. Thomas Kramer April 14, 1956, in Bloomington, IN.Susie was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She was a physical therapy assistant for St. Mary’s Hospital.Surviving are her husband of 62 years, J. Thomas; children: Karen Kramer, Dr. J. Andrew (Gail) Kramer, Shirley Kramer, Steve (Tedi) Kramer, Fr. Chuck (Liz) Kramer, and Elizabeth Curlin; grandchildren: Sarah Ewalt, Bethany Kidd, Joanna Kidd, Brooke Helton, Brandi (Tim) Irle, Alex Kramer, Nicholas Granados-Kramer, Christopher Granados-Kramer, Laura Curlin, James Curlin, Maggie Curlin; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters: Ruth Blanding and Phyllis (Mike) Nelson.Susie was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Bryan Curlin, and granddaughter Dominique Granados-Kramer.Susie was a wonderful wife and helpmate for 62 years.
