Visitation: 6:00 PM on August 19, 2011 Funeral: 10:00 AM on August 20, 2011 Suellen Elizabeth Karl-Jarvis, 54, of Decatur, IL, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday, August 19 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Care Van Pet Program, Suellen Jarvis Feral Cat Fund, 4 Warren Court, Warrensburg, IL 62573. Suellen was born March 31, 1957, in Decatur, the daughter of Virgil and Mary Ellen (Simms) Karl. She married Charles Jarvis on October 1, 1975, in Decatur. Suellen was a computer operator for Mueller Company for 23 years. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, playing racquetball, home improvement, knitting, and sewing. She volunteered at Care Van Pet Programs and the Humane Society, and rescued several cats. Suellen was a member of Land of Lincoln Mot-Her Cyclists (L.O.L.M.). Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Charles of Decatur, IL; son Paul Jarvis of Columbia, MO; daughter Diana (Michael) Havener of Chatham, IL; sisters Donna Karl (Stu Gedal) of Cambridge, MA, and Kris (Mike) Helgeth of Aurora, IL, mother-in-law Margaret Jarvis; several nieces, nephews and many close friends. Suellen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ed Karl. "
