Steven Kermit Volle, 81, of Decatur, passed away on November 12, 2025, at Lincolnshire Memory Care Home with his family by his side.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lake Bank Cemetery in Mt. Pulaski, IL. Memorials in Steve’s name may be made to Temple Baptist Church or the Parkinsons Foundation.
Steve was born on August 9, 1944, the son of Kermit and Irene (Wachter) Volle. He graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School in 1962 and then served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era.
He served on the Macon County Young Farmers Committee. He served on the board of directors for Cisco Co-Op Grain, as well as an original member of the board of directors for Topflight Grain. He was a past Commissioner of multiple drainage districts as well as a self-employed farmer. Steve loved people and enjoyed selling seeds for Bo-Jac and Asgrow Seed companies.
His hobbies included fishing, camping, and woodworking. He made multiple pieces of furniture for their home. Steve was a dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and in various capacities over the years.

Steve is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda; son Brian (Tessa) Volle of Oreana; daughter Andrea (Scott) Woodruff of Oreana; sister Cheryl (Jerry) Lynch of Chatham; grandchildren Audrey Volle, Jacob (Bridget) Woodruff, David Volle, Ryan Woodruff, and Megan Volle.
He is preceded by his parents.
